A Week of Thankful

It was such a crazy fast week/weekend but so so worth it.
First stop was Beloit to spend some time with Kirk's family.
Friday morning we hit the road to see my fam in good old GB.
Of course, listening to Christmas music all the way.
It was a week of great family, friends, and food.
Shopping. Delgados. Lumpys. Charlies.
I was seriously exhausted today.
And so was she.

I am so thankful for my Lu girl.
She is my perfect little traveler.
Kirk is also thankful that she is not a back seat driver like her mama.

I am thankful for these little turkeys.
Those sweet little faces get me every time.
Aunt G loves you all so much.

Someone also has Uncle Coco wrapped around her finger.
She is asking for a guitar this year for Christmas so they can play together.

And I also very thankful for my sweet little family.

I hope that everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving this year.
Feeling extremely blessed.

Now time to enjoy the most wonderful time of the year.

Couch Potato

It's been forever since I've blogged about Luc but that doesn't mean I don't have thousands and thousands of pictures to share.  Ask my husband.  He thinks I am ridiculous.  Lucy too.  She hates her picture(s) being taken and is not very photogenic but we are working on this.

So I recently purchased some new pillows.  I was getting bored with my old ones and apparently Luc too because I can't get her off of them.  I already broke all the rules when she was a pup and decided to let my dog take over my couch but I promised myself that I wouldn't let her lay on my new pillows.  I think that promise lasted literally 2 minutes.  This cute face gets me every.single.time.

Ok ok I'm done posting pics of my dog literally smothering my pillows.
What can I say she is one spoiled loved little mutt.

Fall

Well hello fall.  I am so glad you're here.  Normally, I am so sad to see summer go but not this time around.  I have literally made some type of soup/crockpot meal for dinner ever since the weather has cooled off and my poor husband asked me today if we could grill out this week.  I think he is over the soups but definitely loving the cooler weather.  Or should I say football.  Football and fantasy has literally taken over my husband.  I love me some football and all but Sunday, Monday, and Thursday is just a little much but I will not complain about watching my Cats play ever.  Um they are 6-0 BTW...yep that's right 6-0.

Anyhow, this weekend we made a trip back to Beloit to see Kirk's fam.  I went in photog mode and got a little pic happy.  Just could not get enough of all the pretty things fall brings.  I-phone + Instagram = LOVE.  Anyone else have that problem?  Sorry if I clogged up your news feed but I'm pretty much obsessed.

I love that every time we go to Beloit we get to stop in on our happy place Manhappy.  We always have to get our Mr. K's fix in and say hi to the Siebs'.  If y'all haven't eaten there you're completely missing out.

Lobster Fondue is a must. Every time.

Gotta watch Kirk's younger brother Reese play football.  It was a close game but Beloit got the W.  They are undefeated, as well.

Saturday morning we got up and walked Lu to the Vet to get her shots updated.  I could have walked for miles.  It was so perfect out.

Ate some Pizza Hut (Beloit has the best PH ever.  I swear) and this little cutie entertained us the whole entire time.  This girl loves her some salad and ranch dressing...my kinda gal.

Me all smiles from the Cats barely pulling it off and Lu's thank GOD we won look.

On our way to the dog park with cousin Lexi where they went crazy.  Lucy hasn't moved all day.

I also attempted making a fall wreath.  At the beginning I thought this thing was going to end up on craftfail.com but it will do.

And this morning we were up and at'em at 7 am to get back to KC.  Not a bad view either.

Now back to being lazy and Lu is obviously getting her beauty sleep in for another lovely work week.  Great weekend in Beloit with all of Kirk's family!

Brainwashed

I'm speechless.  On Wednesday I came across this on my sisters FB wall.  My niece sporting her FAVE red and blue team (I can't even say the teams name).

Look at that ornery little grin.  It was spirit day at her school and this is the team she chooses to support.  This has been going on for a while now.  I even tried bribing her with a purple Hello Kitty KSU tee-shirt and she said 'No only KU...'  Oh sweet niece of mine what am I going to do with you.  Good thing you are the cutest thing ever.

And then later that night my sister sends me a pic text that says while taking these pics she even said 'Gina's not going to be happy about this!'  Again good thing she is cute.

There is still time to convert her to Purple, right?  I also think they have a little model on their hands.

KSU Celeb

So Kirk and I recently just got into Modern Family.  I know what is wrong with me?  That show seriously cracks me up and maybe I love it just a little more knowing that Cam aka Eric Stonestreet is a KSU alumni and die hard KSU fan.

If you follow him on twitter you might have recently see this little tweet.

Um of course we will be there.  And Cal's plan is to hunt him down.  She's pretty good at this and is never shy about introducing herself.  Especially after she has been drinking.  So if we do meet him I'll be sure to tweet all about it.

He also tweeted this.

I'm sure Sofia Vergara has no idea where Kansas is even at but it's fine.  Gotta appreciate the Modern Family love for the Cats.

10 YEARS

Well I would say that our ten year reunion was a success.  I have finally recovered. It was a weekend of acting completely ridiculous.  I am pretty sure if my mom still could she would have grounded me for my behavior.  Two nights of picking us drunk kids up at 2:00 in the morning.  She's the best I tell you.

Friday we ate some Delgados and headed to the football game.  Thank god we brought in booze because it was pretty awkward at first and at half time we decided that we probably fit in better at a bar and that we did.  Played some flippy cup and drank ourselves silly.

Friday Night Lights

We've been besties since Kindy...love my Cal :)

Megs & Caitie D

Twice in ONE month that I got to see this girl....love ya Lace!

Gorgeous Blondies!

Chrisstttyyyyyy

Flippy cup...the girls didn't do so hot

Saturday morning we did a tour of the high school. It was seriously the weirdest feeling and not gonna lie made me kinda wish I was still in high school.  So many memories came flooding back and it reminded me how much I loved high school, Great Bend, and all the things a small town stands for.

Senior Hall

Haha love this pic of Rusco & Cade

We all looked so tiny.  GBHS track super stars.

Holllaaafame!!!

Ha- check out Cal and Biggs in the lower right hand corner :)

Saturday afternoon we did some day drinking at Lumpys and then we hit up the Page before the big hooray started.  And by the big hooray I am talking the KSU game.  The reception was held at the American Legion and we were all a little nervous if they had TVs and if so that the TVs actually had cable.  But Jess promised me they did when I called to check on our drive in so we watched KSU beat OU at OU.  So freakin' awesome!  I took over Cal's duty and did the K-S-U cheer but she does it much better.  I apparently was doing the K backwards.

Here are some pics from the rest of the night.

$2.50 for that huge glass of wine.

The pic text that Blake got for being too cool to come....

Nate's face in the background just cracks me up....sorry Nate

Check out that prego belly that Court is rockin'....baby #2 is on it's way.

I some how ended up losing not one but two credit cards (in one night), face planted and have a lovely rug burn on my cheek, and woke up feeling not 16 from a vodka hangover but 56 and hurting for days.  It was so good to see some of my favorite people.  So extremely blessed and thankful to have such amazing friends!  Love love love my GB girls.
